This full time Cardiac Device Specialist will travel between a Cardiology office in Cape Coral and a Cardiology office in Fort Myers near Colonial and Ortiz.
The Cardiac Device specialist is responsible for performing and rhythm interpretation during cardiology procedures, including but not limited to EKG's, Holter Monitors, Holter Scanning and the testing, troubleshooting and programming of implanted cardiac devices. Responsible for providing an excellent patient experience while delivering and documenting team based safe patient care in collaboration with the physician and other care team members.
Education: HS diploma required.
Graduate of a diploma, associates or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes but not limited to cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology or nursing).
Experience Requirements: 2 years clinical experience in cardiac cath lab or critical care or invasive cardiology practice/clinic required.
2 years advanced rhythm interpretation required.
Training: Cardiology device training preferred, i.e. pacemakers, loop recorder, ICD, Holter monitor.
License/Registration: FL RN, RCIS or RCES required.
Certifications: CCDS and/or CEPS through IBHRE preferred, must be willing to obtain within 3 years of hire.
ACLS and BLS required.
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, EHR proficiency required.
