Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
VCU Health System's Obstetrics/Gynecology Family Planning Division is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner to assist with evaluation and treatment of female patients for family planning services including performing ultrasounds, managing and removing intrauterine devices and implants. This position will be held within the section of family planning and will collaborate closely with building new and managing current services.
Clinical decision-making in collaboration with physicians and daily prioritization of activities. The allocation of time spent in patient care and elsewhere is largely self-determined.
Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program specific to area of practice
Current RN Licensure in Virginia
Credentialing in accordance with medical staff by-laws for specific job title
Prescriptive authority when required
2 years' experience as an NP in family planning services and obstetric care
Academic health care experience
Two (2) years within the specialty practice area
Advanced Practice Nursing Role or Clinical Leadership Role experience
Placing, managing and removing intrauterine devices and implants
