Performs a variety of vascular diagnostic ultrasound procedures. The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist will be expected to function independently and demonstrate sound judgment based upon knowledge and application of professional, departmental and organizational principals and standards. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Supervisor of Non-Invasive Cardiology and with medical direction from physicians.
* High school graduate or equivalent with basic typing and computer skills in data entry. Graduate of approved school of cardiovascular technology with emphasis in Cerebral and Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound, experience in Echocardiography is a plus. * Current credentials as a Registered Vascular(i.E. RVT, RCVT,) a must. Minimum of one (1) year experience in Cerebral/Peripheral vascular ultrasound. * Current BLS certification *Ability to identify normal anatomy and commonly seen pathology. Must possess and understanding of standard accepted interpretation criteria for Cerebral and Peripheral Vascular diagnostic ultrasound procedures. * Most possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication stills. Must possess basic typing, data entry and computer skills (Microsoft windows and Microsoft office). * Self-starter, people oriented individual able to work in a constantly changing environment.
