Our physicians and nurses are actively involved in research that gives patients access to treatments and medicine not widely available. Consequently, patients travel from around the world to seek treatment with us.
As an academic medical center, we are taking a fresh approach to what has been accomplished in healthcare in order to discover, research, teach and care for patients in entirely new ways. To ensure that the right care is delivered in the right place at the right time, we are no longer waiting to accomplish tomorrow that which we are capable of achieving today.
Our team members utilize emerging technology and lead experimental treatment protocols. In fact, our healthcare makes hea...dlines routinely.
However, it's the attributes of every UVA team member that make our nationally recognized care anything but routine. Qualities such as persistence, ingenuity and initiative help to create an environment where respect and responsiveness are highly valued.
UVA Medical Center is one of seven entities that make up the nationally renowned UVA Health System, including the Novant Health UVA Health System, UVA Transitional Care Hospital, UVA Physicians Group, UVA School of Medicine, UVA School of Nursing and Claude Moore Health Sciences Library.
