This position is located in a Vascular physician's office in Florence, SC. An ideal candidate must be able to work alongside all five providers within the office.
The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist operates venous ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures to include invasive and non-invasive vascular ultrasound procedures per physician specification/direction;
Assists five providers with therapeutic laser venous ablations and serves as an integral part of the overall clinical team for the physician office.
Closely monitors patient during procedure and assists patient to recovery area following procedure;
Ensures all regulatory standards are met and performs diagnostic administrative responsibilities necessary to maintain appropriate accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine;
Performs other duties necessary to provide exceptional patient care;
Possess skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those relating to vascular technology;
80 hours biweekly as scheduled
Must be graduate of an accredited school of Radiology or formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program;
Must have RVT registration and ARDMS certification
Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty as appropriate.
Three to five years of professional x-ray technology/ultrasonography experience in a hospital setting or a physician office.
Experience with echo is a plus.
