Job Summary:

The Clinical Engineer will provide leadership and expertise in bridging new product and sustaining product development activities through all product development phases. The Clinical Engineer will leverage qualitative approaches for design, system, and technology integration activities, to demonstrate the importance of the product The clinical engineer represents the voice of customer in the design and development process.  

The person in this position will participate within the cross-functional team that identifies opportunities, collaborates with internal and external partners, develops and manages requirements, generates system and component concepts, participates in experiments, and ensures robust validation of the design through all phases of the engineering process

Essential Job Functions:

• Support cross-functional project teams in the design and development through phase gate product development process from concept to launch.
• Work with clinicians, end users, and Product Management to help define and evaluate new innovative product concepts to address unmet customer and business needs.
• Provide clinical perspective and feedback to teams that impact the design of new products including feature integration and workflow input. 
• Provide clinical references and documents to support clinical applications on the ultrasound system. 
• Assist in the clinical evaluation of new products.
• Understand Point of Care ultrasound market and competitors' products and workflows.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support critical path activities. 
• Participate with the Development Team in the evaluation of Safety Risk according to standard practice and industry guidelines.
