MRI Technologist provides patient services using diagnostic MRI equipment. The MRI Technologist is competent in the production of quality images to be used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment. The individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of MRI services.
Licensed by the State of New Jersey as a Radiology Technologist. Preferred Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist RT in MRI. Or have minimum 3 years' experience in MRI, earned a minimum 17 category A credits Continuing Education as designated by AHRA credits for MRI Cross Trainer & registry eligible. Or have completed a minimum of three of the following college credit courses in special imaging of; Cross Sectional Anatomy, MRI Protocols, MRI Physics & Imaging Equipment, MRI Clinical Practicum. Registry examinations must be taken within one year of eligibility requirements. Successful completion of all required orientation programs.
