Evaluates patient history and conditions, prepares testing reports, and determines if posed studies are appropriate and match what is in Epic. Accurately documents diagnostic and patient data. Ensures that the documentation is timely, accurate, concise, and complete.
Performs cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial, visceral vascular and venous imaging exhibiting attention to detail and strict adherence to published protocols and the standards outlined by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accrediation of Vascular Laboratories. This includes dialysis access, renovascular, mesenteric and arterial graft duplex as well as venous insufficiency testing. Performs arterial physiologic evaluation of the upper and lower extremities.
Recognizes sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue and blood flow, adjusts scanning techniques to optimize image and spectral waveforms, characteristics and measurements. Initiates additional scanning techniques according to established lab policy and procedures. Promptly notifies appropriate health care provider when immediate medical attention is necessary, providing verbal and written results.

Accurately prepares or verifies billing information for each exam, ensuring that proper testing is ordered and reflected in Epic and that appropriate medical indications support the exam.
score: N/Prepares interpretations for vascular reports for the surgeons to review and sign in a timely manner and verifies crossover of all reports into PACS and Epic. Also ensures all previous days' reports have been signed and are accurately reflected in PACS, advising the Technical Director of needed corrections.

Stays current with CME's and maintains professional credentials. Shares knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
At times there will be additional duties assigned by the Medical Director of the Vascular Center, Medical Director of the Vascular lab, Technical Director of the Vascular Lab, or the Director of Operations.
Must possess: High School diploma or GED.
Must possess: 1 year of experience in vascular technology.
Certification Requirements: RVT-Registered Vascular Technologist, RVS-Registered Vascular Specialist or Registered within 6 months of employment.
Age Specific Care Provided For: Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics.
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Meditech (if applicable to position), Epic (if applicable to position) and Performance Manager/NetLearning.
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Must be proficient with MergePACS and ADP.
