The Lead Interventional Tech will provide leadership responsibility specifically for the VORs (Neuro and Vascular suites). The Lead will be part of the staffing model and focus primarily on competency and staffing for the hybrid ORs, meet with OR leadership, assist with stock and supplies including cost containment and analyses, facilitate new product introduction and throughput to MEOC committee, and interface with physicians and advanced practice teams. This position will also,Coordinate with Radiology leadership to ensure that adequate resources are available to ensure exams are performed timely and meet department quality and safety standards. May assign personnel on a shift to specific jobs and adjust assignments as exam volume demands. Plays a key pivotal direct clinical support role to the supervisor, manager, or director. Takes 24/7/365 call for emergency.
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (or equivalent experience) and 3 years experience
Preferred : BS or BA in a related healthcare field is preferred
Functions as a shift lead or key pivotal direct clinical support role for one or more modalities in Radiology.
Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
Coordinates with Radiology leadership to ensure adequate staffing model is maintained for shift.
Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.

INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY (INTERMEDIATE): - Demonstrates mastery of interventional radiology in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
COMPLIANCE - (ADVANCED): - Demonstrates expert knowledge of the appropriate rules and regulations as they apply to the incumbent's department and work areas. Analyzes the rules and regulations for situations that are unusual and knows the inter- relationship and implication of various rules and regulations in other areas of the department.
